Privacy Policy
How Dynamo Sport collects, uses, and protects information for coaches and athletes using the app.
1 Overview
This policy covers the Dynamo Sport mobile app ("Dynamo Sport," "we," "us"), operated by Christopher Dimino. It explains what information the app collects from coaches and athletes, why, and what choices you have. It applies wherever you use the app — as a coach managing a roster, or an athlete tracking your own training.
2 Information We Collect
2.1 Account information
When you create an account, sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service). We receive your email address and a unique account identifier. Firebase stores your password in hashed form — we never see or store it in plain text.
2.2 Team and training data
Rosters, athlete profiles, workouts, personal records, injury and soreness notes, and coach notes that you enter into the app are stored locally on your device. They are not currently synced to a server we operate — uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes this data.
2.3 AI Coach requests
When a coach generates an AI-assisted workout or season plan, relevant context — team name, sport, group size, training phase, recent notes, and any instructions typed into that request — is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate that one response. We do not retain a copy of these requests once the response is returned, and Anthropic processes them under its own API terms, not to train its models on your data.
2.4 Subscription and purchase data
Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and processed by RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. RevenueCat shares your subscription tier and entitlement status with us so the app can unlock the right features — we do not receive your full payment details (card numbers, etc.), which are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
2.5 Device and diagnostic data
Standard technical data (app version, device type, crash logs) may be collected through Firebase and RevenueCat's infrastructure to keep the app stable and secure. We do not use third-party advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.
3 How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account, and to tell coach and athlete roles apart.
- To generate AI-assisted training content you explicitly request.
- To activate the subscription tier you've paid for and enforce its limits.
- To diagnose crashes and keep the app reliable.
- To communicate with you about your account when necessary — we do not send marketing email.
4 Third-Party Services We Rely On
| Service | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication (Google) | Sign-in | Email, hashed password, account ID |
| Anthropic (Claude API) | AI Coach generation | The specific workout-request context described in 2.3 |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Purchase/entitlement status, device identifiers |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Payment processing | Your payment details — never shared with us |
Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms; we only send what's needed for the purpose above.
5 Data Storage & Retention
Training data (rosters, workouts, notes) is stored locally on your device using standard app storage. Account identity is retained by Firebase for as long as your account exists. AI Coach requests are not retained by us after a response is generated. You can request deletion of your account at any time — see Section 11.
6 Children's Privacy
Dynamo Sport is a tool for coaches and the athletes they train, and we recognize that many athletes on school and club teams are minors. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13. Athlete accounts for minors are intended to be created and supervised by a coach, parent, or guardian, not self-registered by a young child. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, contact us using Section 11 and we will delete it.
7 Your Rights & Choices
- Access & correction — training data lives on your device, so you can view or edit it directly in the app.
- Deletion — request account deletion at any time (Section 11); uninstalling the app removes locally stored training data.
- Subscription control — manage or cancel your subscription any time via the in-app Customer Center, or your device's App Store / Play Store subscription settings.
- California residents — we do not sell personal information, as defined under the CCPA.
- EEA/UK residents — you may have additional rights under GDPR (access, portability, objection); contact us to exercise them.
8 Data Security
We rely on the security infrastructure of Firebase, RevenueCat, and Apple/Google's platforms, and use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for any data sent to our server. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved.
9 International Users
Our service providers (Firebase, Anthropic, RevenueCat) operate infrastructure in the United States and elsewhere. By using Dynamo Sport, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.
10 Changes to This Policy
We'll update the effective date above if this policy changes, and where a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify users in-app.
